Casting for “Did You Kiss Anyone?”

Front Ave. LLC is casting “Did You Kiss Anyone?,” a comedy about a married couple, JARED and EMILY, who give each other a “free pass” for one night, only to see everything backfire.  This is a nano-budget feature production that is the second part of a Domestic Bliss Trilogy that started with “The Waiting List,” which is currently playing at film festivals.

Principle roles have already been filled but we still need to cast for the following supporting roles, just as crucial to the success of the film’s storytelling:

BETTY, late 20s.  Betty is an intriguing train wreck.  She’s having a bad night, but sets out to make Jared’s night even worse.  Betty must have a distinctive look that combines over-confidence, toughness, and calculated flirtatiousness.  Part girl-of-his-dreams, part low-life scum.  Randomly vindictive.  This is a crucial role requiring a nuanced, dialogue heavy performance. (Approximately 8 days)

DEREK CAMPBELL, 30s, African-American.  Derek is a life-of-the-party kind of guy who travels a lot for work and enjoys telling stories.  Derek and Jenny Campbell are best friends with Jared and Emily. (Approximately 2 days)

VICTORIA, 30s.  Victoria is Jared’s long-ago girlfriend.  She doesn’t know how she got to be a soccer mom in a stale marriage, but she’s there.  Victoria has a manic and sharp sense of humor.  Must be able to go from bright and bubbly to drunken despair. (Approximately 2 days)

DAVE, 30s-50s.  Dave is the producer of a local cooking show co-hosted by Emily.  He’s positive, but pragmatic, and trying to arrange the details of what could be a major career breakthrough for Emily.  (Approximately 2 days)

WARREN, 40s-50s.  Warren is Emily’s cooking show co-host.  He has a bad habit of dropping innuendos and “single entendres.”  (1 day)

KLAUS, 20s-40s.  Klaus is a smooth, international womanizer.  He’s also a raging germophobe.  Ideally looking to cast an actor who speaks with a natural accent, so if English is your second language and you can lay on the charm, Klaus will be catered to you. (Approximately 3 days)

JACK, 18-early 20s.  Jack is a lovable innocent guy who suffers an embarrassing experience.

Talent will receive the Three C’s: Copy (of final DVD), Credit (on IMDb), and Carbohydrates (because people get hungry).  We also have a number of smaller speaking and non-speaking roles.

Auditions will take place on September 26th (Saturday). Filming will take place on weekends and evenings beginning October 16th and ending in late December.  A schedule will be provided well in advance to avoid conflicts.

Email headshots/resumes/online reels (if you have one) to: frontave.casting [at] gmail [dot] com, with the character name in the subject line.
Please respond by September 22nd if you wish to be considered.
